EAST G5: Biodiversity

Grade 5 students at UWCSEA can:

• suggest some ways ecosystems are interrelated and interdependent
• develop research questions about an ecosystem.
• develop a scientific question to form a conclusion about the connections in an ecosystem.
• conduct a fair test.
• trace the energy pathway from the Sun through food webs.
• identify the roles of various organisms (producers, consumers, predators, prey) in a food web.
• describe how food webs can be affected by internal and external factors
