You will be expected to get everything going that you already know how to do- routines and procedures & book shopping for just right reading books. You will get to know your classroom library very well. You will work to build your reading time and stamina, ending the unit with an increased independent reading time from what you started at. Having a Reading Partner will give you the opportunity to talk with a classmate on a regular basis in a structured way, sharing your reactions and thoughts about the various books you've read.
