G4: Earth Rocks

The unit will focus on different rock types that exist in the world, their properties and how they are formed. Through the unit we will also discover what rock formations can reveal about how the Earth has changed over time. 

We will come to understand that:

• Rock types and formations create patterns that reveal earth's history.
• Rock classes and formations reveal changes caused by forces, temperature and erosion over time.
• When two or more substances combine, they can undergo a physical or chemical change.
