Library: GoodReads Social Book Clubs Online: Tracking GoodReads activities

Feeds, Emails, etc.

GoodReads offers a variety of means of keeping track of the online actions of your friends and groups.

You can choose between email notifications, with a variety of options, or subscribe to an RSS feed -- which you can add to your Google Reader account.

RSS Feeds

Instead of receiving email notifications, you can "subscribe" to your GoodReads notifications via an RSS Feed -- assuming you are using an RSS Reader of some kind (unfortunately, Google Reader is no longer available).

1.  Edit your GoodReads profile

2.  Go to the "Email" tab

3.  Click on the orange RSS button.

4.  You will be asked if you want to "subscribe" to the feed.

GoodRead Notification Options

Under your Account Settings, you can determine how often you get email notifications and what will trigger a notification.  Or take advantage of the RSS feed and have updates sent to your RSS reader (e.g., Feedly, Feedspot, et al -- unfortunately Google Reader is no longer available).

You can choose how often you will be updated about the GoodRead Groups you belong to, e.g., see below:

Under the "Feeds" tab, you can determine what event will trigger a notification.
