For all subscription econtent, add this in the Resources tab of Edit Title:

Using the Material Type "Electronic Book (ebook)" will automatically cause the Open button to appear on the Search Results page and on the Title Details page.  This lets patrons go directly to the resource from the Search Results page without having to open the Title Details. We will use the Material Type "Electronic Book" from the drop down list for all electronic products for this reason, unless new products require some refinement of this decision. These records will have "[electronic resource]" after the title on the Title Details page. Our patrons are likely to begin to identify this as just an electronic resource, and not necessarily expect an ebook. 

This icon is automatically given to FollettShelf ebooks.

This icon is given to all other resources desinated as ebooks in the material type. 

Converting records to RDA wil change the words in brackets after the title from [electronic resource] to [ebook]. We will not convert e-newspapers and e-journals to RDA because of this automatic change. This will have to be revised in the future.

Local Subject Headings:

• the word Ebooks should appear somewhere in the subject headings. Most likely it will appear in a local SH that describes a certain ebook collection; for example, Follett Shelf Ebooks or Subscription ebooks, etc.
• use Unlimited access ebooks as a local subject heading when appropriate.

Material type is Electronic Book. This will automatically cause the Open button to appear on the search results screen and in the Title Details screen.
