Library Staff Job-Alike Workshop: Home

Overview

The Library Staff Job-Alike Workshop (JAW) is organized for all Library Assistants and Library Officers who are working at International Schools in Singapore. The objective of the workshop is to gather library staff to share their knowledge, expertise and support to empower them in building vibrant and relevant libraries. In addition, this will provide library staff with the professional development that they need in order to keep up with the current trends in libraries and technology.

JAW will also provide opportunities for attendees to deliver 15-minute presentations on a variety of library-related topics, leading into group discussions.

Possible topics include:

  • Online databases
  • Ebooks at the Library
  • Promoting your library services and resources
  • Managing student behavior and activities
  • How parent volunteers can assist the library
  • Book levelling for different age group
  • Library Makerspace : How does it benefit the library?
  • Library Staff and their Professional Development
